Commercial GRP Fiberglass Roofing.
Commercial GRP Fiberglass Roofing.
Asked to stop multiple leaks on a flat roof in North Devon. The working area below had to be kept in working use, so it was opted to over board.
To save time on site, all boards received one layer of glass off site. Once installed all joints received two layers on the joints and a full layer of resin and glass over the top.
Up stands were made to box in old ventilation outlets due to not being able to disturb the working area below.
The make up was baton 18mm board 2 layer of fiberglass and matting GRP trims on all external edges with spacing's to allow roof to breath.
Preformed outlets to fit into the internal guttering.
All boxed up stands were glassed in place.
Key clamp hand rail installed around the outside to prevent falling there was also a scaffolding crash deck.
340 square metres of roof fiber-glassed and water tight in three weeks. The Gel coat was later applied in sections to allow for relocating air units and other obstacles on the roof. This was a very challenging project and by far not easy to complete with weather conditions and restricted access on site, however the customer was happy the factory could function as usual throughout the working process.
