Structural Sound Proof Floor Above Shop, to form new flat.

Exposed holes for 4 pad-stones into stone wall to install new pad stone to spread the weight of the new steels and the floor above.

New structural steels specified by structural engineer installed onto new pad-stones. New floor joists and noggins installed at 400mm centres.

All masonry work filled in and patched over.

Floor joist filled with 100mm sound guard insulation followed by one 12mm sound block board, Gyproc 150mm suspended ceiling grid installed with a further 100mm of sound block insulation sat on top in North Devon

Floor joist filled with 100mm sound guard insulation followed by one layer of 12mm sound block board, Gyproc 150mm suspended ceiling grid installed with a further 100mm of sound block insulation sat on top.

One sheet of sound block seals the insulation above the grid system all edges sealed with acoustic sealant, a top layer of fire proof boarding was then installed over the top. Project here in North Devon

The shop ceiling was finished with a suspended ceiling grid and LED lighting. All works carried out and managed by MJS Building Maintenance LTD. The shop was shut for 5 days limiting the loss of earnings to the shop tenant.
